The official ranger-guided tour costs $8.00 per person for ages 3 and up. You also must pay the $30 summer park entrance fee per vehicle.
Reservations open exactly 14 days in advance at 8:00 am MDT on Recreation.gov.
Yes. You can view the entire structure for free from the Cliff Palace Overlook or Sun Temple. You only pay to enter the dwelling.

This tour was better than expected because of the Guide, Jay, and the other travelers that joined this tour. Jay kept everyone engaged, remembered names, had some corny jokes and displayed a thorough knowledge of the history and culture of the previous inhabitants of this fascinating area.
Wes was our guide. Very impressed with his knowledge and friendliness. The van was comfortable but I strongly encourage you all to carry a heavy duty step stool. We came away with a deeper appreciation for what is Mesa verde and its history especially regarding the Ute people.
